The Perfect Stranger
The Perfect Stranger in Vreten, Solna from 2005 represents a series of public sculptures in urban and park environments that I carried out in 1998 - 2013.This sculpture consist of a larger amount of Eutite (ceramic material) stacked into a given shape. The construction technique means that it is possible to use end-radiating optical fibers that open into the surface of the sculpture. These are invisible in daylight and are activated when it is dark. The light behavior is controlled by a program with different colors and light intensity, pauses and rhythms. The sculptures take on a massive introspective expression during the day and a more ethereal dissolved form during the dark hours of the day.
